Delaware Deer Hunting Seasons Including Sundays

Archery and Crossbow Seasons

  • Dates: September 1 - January 31, Statewide
  • Details: Allowed during the muzzleloader, general firearm, and handgun/pistol-caliber rifle seasons with mandatory 400 sq inches of hunter orange on head, chest, and back.

Muzzleloader Season

  • Dates: October 6 - 15; January 22 - 28, Statewide
  • Details: Muzzleloaders must be muzzle-loaded, may use approved propellants, and can have scopes.

General Firearm Season (Shotgun Seasons)

  • Dates: November 10 - 19; January 13 - 21, Statewide

  • Dates: January 6, 8 - 12 (excluding Sunday, January 7)

Youth and Non-ambulatory Deer Hunt

  • Dates: November 4 and 5, Statewide
  • Details: Archery equipment, muzzleloaders, shotguns, handguns, or straight-walled rifle calibers.
